Trusting God
Trusting God

Change can be scary. I can say for many years change used to cause me all kinds of anxiety. I would adapt, but not without expressing how off-putting it made me feel. Change affects each of us differently. It can be emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. How we respond to change often determines its impact. Truth is change is inevitable no matter what the situation, change will happen. It will be up to us to find ways that during changes we don't allow it to cause us to lose our focus or derail us. Here are four ways to stay focused during times of change, using biblical principles:

1. Trust in God’s Plan – Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

2. Stay Rooted in God’s Word – Psalm 119:105

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." In uncertain times, staying grounded in Scripture helps keep your focus on God rather than distractions.

3. Keep Your Eyes on Jesus – Hebrews 12:2

"Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."

4. Maintain a Spirit of Prayer and Gratitude – Philippians 4:6-7

Instead of letting change overwhelm you, stay in constant prayer. A heart of gratitude shifts your focus from the problem to the Provider.

No matter what changes come, keeping your faith anchored in God will help you remain steady and focused on His purpose for your life. Be encouraged!
