There is incredible power in the simple word "yet." It reminds us that our current circumstances are not our final destination. When we say, “I’m not there yet,” we open the door to growth, faith, and God's perfect timing. The Bible tells us in Philippians 1:6 (NIV), “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Even when we feel like we’ve failed or we’re not making progress, God is still at work. The word “yet” shifts our mindset from defeat to hope—it aligns us with the promise that God is not finished with us.

Think about Sarah who waited years for a child, or David who was anointed king but had to endure seasons of hiding and hardship. Their destinies weren’t denied, just delayed. Isaiah 40:31 (ESV) says, “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles…” Embracing the power of “yet” helps us wait with purpose, trusting that delay is not denial. Whatever you’re hoping for—healing, breakthrough, direction—remind yourself: “I haven’t seen it… yet.” Keep the faith. God’s promises are still unfolding. BE ENCOURAGED!
