Managing Stress as a Christian

Stress is a part of life, but as Christians, we are not called to carry it alone. God invites us to bring our burdens to Him and find rest for our souls. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest... For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” When we surrender our worries to God through prayer and trust, we shift the weight off our shoulders and place it in His capable hands. Stress becomes manageable when we remember that we are not in control—but we serve a God who is.
Instead of allowing stress to consume us, Scripture teaches us to guard our minds and hearts with peace. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God... will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” When we replace anxiety with gratitude and prayer, God replaces fear with peace. Managing stress as a Christian doesn’t mean life is always calm—it means we have an anchor in every storm. BE ENCOURAGED!
