Ordering your Day

I was studying this morning and came across a passage from one of Cindy Trimm's books and she said, "We are to be intentional with how we order our days and spend our time". It posed a question to me How am I spending my time? Am I being intentional or am I just careless about what happens during my day? If I am honest, I will have to say, there are some days where my day was decided without any spiritual guidance. Woke up and proceeded to do what I thought was important and at the end of the day when I reflected realized I had accomplished NOTHING. Can you relate? If we intend to have purpose and be intentional, we must be more careful about how the time God grants us is used. We need to seek wisdom daily. I am not saying there is a cookie-cutter way to make this happen but what I am saying is when we put God first and allow him to give us our daily bread the day will be more productive. My steps to make that happen may be different from yours but here are some general tips to help:
Start with Prayer and Scripture – Begin each day by seeking God through prayer and reading His Word. This sets the tone for the day and allows His wisdom to guide your steps.
Prioritize with Purpose – Ask God to order your day and focus on what truly matters. Let His direction shape your priorities rather than being driven by distractions or stress.
Act in Faith and Obedience – As you go about your tasks, trust that God is with you. Work diligently, make decisions with integrity, and be open to divine opportunities that may arise.
Reflect and Give Thanks – End the day by acknowledging God’s presence, expressing gratitude for His provision, and seeking His guidance for the next day.
These steps can be adjusted to fit your personal walk with God, but the key is to keep Him at the center of your daily life.
