Forgiveness is a complex and deeply human concept. Forgiveness is a personal journey and process, it does not always come easy, and it’s okay to take time to work through your feelings. Forgiveness is about acknowledging the pain someone has caused you and choosing to release yourself from the burden of carrying that pain any longer.

At its core, forgiveness involves letting go of resentment or anger toward someone who has wronged you. It does not necessarily mean condoning or excusing their actions but rather releasing the negative emotions that are holding you back. Forgiveness can be incredibly liberating, allowing you to move forward and find peace within yourself.

Forgiveness can also be transformative in relationships, fostering healing and reconciliation. However, it's not always necessary or possible to reconcile with someone after forgiving them. Sometimes forgiveness is about freeing yourself from the past and moving forward without necessarily reconnecting with the person who hurt you. Ultimately, forgiveness is a powerful tool for personal growth and emotional well-being. It's about choosing compassion and understanding over bitterness and resentment, both for yourself and for others.

During one of my moments of meditation Forgiveness rang in my ears. I had the misconception that I had forgiven all who had wronged me and I heard the Spirit break it down for me like this:

Forgiveness: unselfish love; it keeps no records of wrong

Forgiving others means letting go of resentment and giving up any claim to be compensated for the hurt or loss we have suffered. The unwillingness to forgive will hinder your prayers of deliverance, or any other prayers for the matter.

Let them go so you can grow!
