From a young age, many of us are given labels—some by others, some by society, and some we place on ourselves. These labels can limit how we see ourselves and what we believe we’re capable of. But as believers, our identity is not defined by our past, our pain, or people’s opinions. It is defined by God. 1 Peter 2:9 declares, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession...” When you understand who you are in Christ, you begin to rise above the limitations that once held you back.

God specializes in using the overlooked and underestimated. Think of David, the shepherd boy anointed to be king, or Moses, the stuttering deliverer of Israel. Their lives prove that divine purpose outweighs human perception. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” When you shed the false labels and embrace your God-given identity, you step into the freedom and power that come from knowing whose you are. You are not limited by the world’s view—you are elevated by God’s truth. BE ENCOURAGED!
