Knowing your values helps you understand what drives you, what you enjoy, what inspires you, and what you would like more of.
Definition: Values (a person's principles or standards of behavior;
one's judgment of what is important in life)
Your values help you build your self-esteem by increasing your awareness of yourself. Because people grow up in different families with different backgrounds and histories, personal values differ from one person to the next. Being self-aware enables you to understand who you are, what drives you forward, and what you need to do to have a better life. Sometimes what we think are our values and often tainted by families, situations, the environment, communities, and a list of other situations. It's your responsibility to:
Reflect on what’s important to you.
Consider the aspects of life that resonate with you.
Create a list of the top three things that matter most to you.
Remember, your values serve as a compass, guiding you toward a more fulfilling life.
Live encouraged!
